EAP Non-Degree (Open Studies)

EAP Non Degree (Open Studies Admission)

The EAP Only (Open Studies) program is designed for both prospective undergraduate and graduate students. The chart below shows you how the program works.  Students may begin the program in PREP Tiers or EAP Tiers depending on where they place following language assessment. Because this program is not tied to an undergraduate degree admission deadline students may apply for a fall, winter or spring term admission into the program. Prospective graduate students may also apply for a fall, winter or spring term admission into the program.

Open Studies EAP students must apply for admission to a degree program by appropriate deadlines. Completion of the EAP program does not guarantee degree admission. Each student's degree admission is also dependant upon meeting all admission criteria required by the faculty they apply to. Achieving English language proficiency is only part of the criteria required for admission by faculties at the U of C.
