Welcome
The Graduate Division of Educational Research (GDER) offers doctoral degrees (PhD, EdD), Master's (MA, MSc, MEd), graduate diplomas, and graduate certificates. We have over 65 faculty members working in a variety of specializations and one of Canada's largest graduate student populations with over 1000 students across Canada and internationally. Our programs, available on campus and online, are administered by GDER and governed by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
GDER graduates include teachers, principals, superintendents, professors, consultants, senior leaders in businesses and in postsecondary institutions, corporate trainers, educational consultants, executive directors of research and professional organizations, nursing instructors, instructional designers and conflict mediators. Notice regarding MEd Exit Procedures in GDER
At a meeting of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Council on Oct. 24, 2007, a
motion was passed to rescind the Master of Education (MEd) Exit Procedure, which
has been a required component of the Master of Education program in GDER. If you
are a student enrolled in the MEd program (on-campus or online), you have the
choice of:
- being grandfathered, i.e., completing the MEd Exit procedure, or
- choosing
to follow the new policy, which does not require the Exit Procedure for
completion of the MEd degree.
